Top 10 Signs Your Organization is Ready for Cloud Computing Implementation 

  1. You or your IT folks are looking to move or build a data center (before you do anything with regard to this major capex consideration, look at the cloud and probably a well conceived virtualization and cloud solution combination)
  2. You operate in an dynamic or quick-to-adopt industry which requires you to roll out new services or applications fast
  3. Your IT staff is relatively small (or you want to keep it small)
  4. You are looking to improve backup strategy and protocol and enhance disaster recovery
  5. Users may bring/remotely use their own devices when accessing system services
  6. System users access services using a wide variety of devices (laptops, desktops, iPads, tablets, smart phones, etc.)
  7. Securing long-term financing is not feasible or is not desirable (license fees for cloud services are operating expenses and are usually paid monthly.)
  8. You have engaged in a virtualization initiative (servers or desktops) and have begun to see and measure the benefits achieved
  9. You' ve evaluated bandwidth considerations and planned accordingly for increased requirements, if needed
  10. You've updated and upgraded systems security and identified systems, operations or applications that are not cloud compliant.
